Attack on Donald Trump: what does global leaders said about it

On Saturday, the former President of the United States faced a shooting attack in Pennsylvania. This shooting attack left many leaders across America shocked. Different nations expressed their views regarding this incident. At the same time, Europe and Asia woke up to a potentially transformed US political scene.

Many leaders worry about the future of America after this attack. People across the world both supporters and critics of Donald Trump, strongly oppose the attack. While many people suggest it as conspiracy theories.

European views on attack

Many leaders from different countries express their sympathy to the right-wing leader, Donald Trump. The Hungarian leader, Viktor Orbán also showed his support after the attack. He posted on twitter and said that he stands with Trump. Also his prayers are with Trump. At the same time Geert Wilders which is the Dutch politician also posted “#prayfortrump.” Jordan Bardella also said that such type of violence harms democracy. 

G7 leaders strongly opposed the incident and also stand with Donald Trump in this tough time. French President Emmanuel Macron called it a tragedy for democracies and expressed France’s solidarity with Americans. At the same time, the Italian prime minister also prayed for Donald Trump and wished to recover soon. She also hoped for peaceful upcoming election campaigns 

The Vatican expressed concern, calling the shooting a violent act that harms people and democracy. UK Prime Minister Kier Starmer said “I am appalled by the shocking scenes at President Trump’s rally and we send him and his family our best wishes. Political violence in any form has no place in our societies and my thoughts are with all the victims of this attack.”

Asian Views on attack

Furthermore, people on WeChat are talking a lot about the attack. They also worry about upcoming election campaigns and the future of American people.  In China, a popular comment on a People’s Daily post said, “America the free, every day a shooting,” and some sellers are already selling t-shirts about the shooting on Taobao, as reported by the South China Morning Post.

Narendra Modi also shared his deep concern about the attack. The Indian prime minister said such types of attacks or violences should not be a part of politics. He also wished for speedy recovery. He also sent prayers to the family of the injured person and all the supporters of Donald Trump. 

Furthermore, Japanese leader Fumio Kishida also opposed the violence. He said such types of violence threaten democracy so we must stand against any action that challenges the politics. He also wished for the speedy recovery for the former president of the United States. 

Middle East view on attack

The Israeli prime minister Netanyahu also expressed his deep condolences on Donald Trump’s attack. He also posted on X, “ “Sara and I were shocked by the apparent attack on President Trump. We pray for his safety and speedy recovery.”

Latin America view on attack

Many Americans were shocked after hearing the news of the attack. Javier Milei, the libertarian president of Argentina also shared a post on X. She blamed globalists for this attack. They want to kill Trump. This kind of rhetoric can be dangerous and divisive.

The president of EI Salvador simply post a single word on X “Democracy?” This single word has a lot of meaning. It raises many questions such as what do democrats do? It also reflects skepticism about the political system.

On the other hand, all the opponents of Donald Trump also criticize the attack. Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, despite being an adversary of Trump, wished him good health and condemned the violence. This clearly shows that political difference does not matter. Peace is important across the world. 

Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva also highlights that there is an urgent need to defend democracy. At the same time, Chilean President Gabriel Boric  also opposed the attack and sent a message that highlighted the need for peace. 

This attack is the clear sign of instability across the world. It is important for political leaders to take steps in order to prevent such incidents.
